About the Modelling Wizard

The Modelling Wizard for Devices is a standalone software that can be used to create or modify devices and interfaces. It can also be used to import CAEX 2.15 and CAEX 3.0 files that will be converted to the AMLX (.aml; .amlx; .xml;) package.

Goals

The general goal of this projects is to improve upon the existing plugin by making it run as standalone application and make it more user friendly. Precisely, there are following goals predefined:

  • General revision of the user interface with the goal to make it more userfriendly
  • Support of CAEX 2.15 and CAEX 3.0 as output format
  • Input fields for all parameters required by the minimum rules for AML-DDs
  • Generic functionality for creating electrical, mechanical or hydraulical interfaces
  • Select and use the AML interface library for electrical interfaces
  • Support users with a detailed User Manual
